Funny story but we were craving loads of Chinese food one night and decided to stop by this restaurant after walking by it in Chinatown.

The restaurant's variety and atmosphere was definitely a bit lacking but I don't think it deserves the current 1.5 rating on Yelp. I've been to multiple fancy buffets in Toronto and the US and of course Young Cheng won't be able to compare well to those but for the price point I definitely think it's an alright deal if you're hungry.

The meal is 15 pounds per person inclusive of tax. You can also get a take out box for 8 pounds if you don't want to eat at the restaurant. You also have to pay for water.

The chicken here is fairly good but that's it. Though considering the price is above average for for the area, you'd expect above average quality too.
If you're looking for a plate full of chicken and nothing else, then feel free to go, but you honestly don't want anything that's not chicken on your plate...
The prawns for example hardly taste fresh and are harder to de-shell than a muscle that's been hitting the gym.
The food is soggy, stodgy and savorless, though if you slather sweet and sour sauce on the rice, then you've got yourself some carbs! I tried to warn a group that came in shortly after us to avoid anything not chicken - like the good Samaritan I am- and they didn't heed my warning. They left after about 10 minutes... All of them leaving fairly full plates...
All in all the chicken is good, though there's better and cheaper food in China town.

This place is horrendous!  Below average quality of food and inferior staff. Get ready to be sworn at in Chinese if u go there.

Absolutely garbage. ZERO stars. Worst Chinese buffet Ive ever had anywhere on Earth. The chef has never cooked a meal in his life before taking this job. 8.50 pounds per person for watery curry, broccoli, dry chicken, onion rings thats all batter, and freaking fish chips. I swear I wouldnt even go near this food if they paid me. Moody, haughty Asian teenage staff who takes your order while looking out the window doesnt help either. Please... go out of business and stop harming society.

    Oh my god!
How sorry I am I walked in here and how bad can a buffet be executed!
Very limited, all is as greasy as can be.
it's cheap but, if you ask me, not worth it's money, not even then.
